Would you like to cheer up your menu and try a new recipe for dinner or a weekend breakfast that is also healthy? Try this delicious onion pie with tuna and olives, which also offers a high content of protein and fiber. In addition, it is a great source of vitamins and minerals, thanks to tuna also omega 3 fatty acids.

You can prepare this onion-tuna cake once or two, even the preparation of the dough is very simple. Just mix the flour with yogurt, salt and olive oil and bake it. In the middle of baking on the dough, you just lay the garnish and bake the savory cake again. So you don't have to worry about any lengthy fermentation or special preparations.

I used Sun&Sea tuna fillets in the recipe. I can say for myself that this tuna is still my complete favorite. It is packed in glass and you can see at a glance that it is a quality part of tuna. You can put it on fillets on this savory cake or crush it a little. From the stated amount of ingredients, 3 rich portions will come out.

Ingredients:

For the baking dough:

200 g whole wheat or spelled flour

1/2 tea spoon salt

150 g of white yogurt

1 soup spoon olive oil

to the garnish:

a handful of cherry tomatoes

1 part of olive oil

200 g tuna fillets in their own juice (I recommend this)

1 large red onion

70 g black olives

a handful of fresh herbs

Cooking procedure:

Mix the dough ingredients thoroughly together in a bowl.

Pour the resulting dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 10 minutes at 175 degrees.

After 10 minutes, remove the dough, sprinkle it with olive oil mixed with roasted cherry tomatoes.

Then we put chopped onions, pieces of tuna, black olives and cherry tomatoes on it for garnish.

Bake the dough for another 10 minutes at the same temperature. After baking, we also place fresh herbs on the onion pie and serve it perfectly warm.
